[ January 15, 1997 ] BACK INFORMATION SERVICES PURCHASES COMMERCIAL JET FLEETS DIRECTORY BUSINESS FROM FEDEX AVIATION SERVICES BACK Information Services, Stamford, CT purchased the Commercial Jet Fleets directory business (quarterly updates of worldwide airline jet fleets and monthly aircraft transaction & availability reports) from FEDEX Aviation Services, effective February 1st, 1997. BACK Information Services (formerly the Reuters Aviation Data Base Service), a division of BACK Associates Inc., maintains the largest and most prestigious collection of aviation data bases in the world. The company specializes in a complete range of aviation information services. BACK's data collection includes financial, traffic and capacity information on carriers world-wide. BACK also provides analytical support services with its information retrievals. BACK Management Services, a division of BACK Associates Inc., provides management and analytical services to the aviation industry.
