AvSOLUTIONS Inc, the Virginia, US-based consulting subsidiary of BACK Associates, is strengthening its aviation expertise with the appointment to the team of David Beckerman as Manager, Consulting Services.

Beckerman brings to AvSOLUTIONS a strong legal, financial and aviation background. He started his career with Washington DC-based law firms Wiley, Rein and Fielding and Boros & Garofalo, specializing in airline, aerospace and travel industry matters.

Beckerman, who has an MBA in Finance and a BA in Foreign Affairs and French, joined Delta Air Lines in January 1995, initially to determine cargo operation benchmarks and to develop the carrier’s database of flight cargo statistics. He then progressed with the airline through a series of revenue management positions. He was Team Leader – Revenue Management, Southern Europe, responsible for the overseeing of pricing and revenue activity in the US-France markets. He also created revenue performance measures and class mapping for new code share markets.

Since February 1999, Beckerman has been working with an international aviation consultancy as a consultant, advising airline, airport and other aviation clients on a variety of marketing, economic and strategic issues.
