Traffic Brochure

O&D-lux provides US DOT traffic in comprehensive detail, including passengers, revenues and fares by individual routing, carrier and direction, including connection flow through hubs and gateways. With data available from the 1st quarter 2000, O&D-lux is a critical tool for determining air traffic patterns, air carrier market shares and passenger flows.

The source data is a 10% sample of airline tickets from reporting carriers collected by the DOT's Office of Airline Information of the Bureau of Transportation Statistics.

Coverage includes

  • Passenger Itinerary, including U.S. gateway for * international flights and connecting airport
  • Passenger counts
  • Revenue and Revenue Passenger Miles (RPMs)
  • Average fares
  • Yields
  • Individual ticket value
  • Great circle and actual itinerary distances
  • Reporting, participating ticketed and participating operating carriers
  • Fare class
  • Number of trip segments

Passenger Perspective Analysis

Here is how clients currently benefit from O&D-lux:

  • Identify and rank top markets by passenger demand, total revenue and fare ranges.
  • Identify and rank connection markets by traffic volume, revenue and traffic flow over international gateways.
  • Analyze 5 years of trends in one simple request.
  • Analyze carrier share of passengers and revenue as well as revenues by fare class.
